Angry Birds isn't going away any time soon, and Rovio is today teasing a big announcement for Monday July 15. There's not much to go on, but from this promo image alone it's clearly related to Star Wars, and more specifically the Star Wars prequels. There was only a short passage on the Rovio blog accompanying it that doesn't really give much away:
Attention, Angry Birds fans! Stay tuned on Monday, July 15th, for big news about a brand new game! We?re talking the biggest character line-up ever, awesome new powers, and maybe even a few surprises!
For anyone who hasn't seen the connection, the bird in the image is wearing Anakin Skywalker's goggles from Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, while casting the shadow of the infamous Darth Vader whom he becomes in Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Exactly what's coming though is still a mystery, so stay tuned on Monday. Anyone got any guesses?
